Late 90s space opera scoring at its most dramatic. Angel Links Vol.2 TRUE MOON is the second soundtrack to that Outlaw Star spinoff anime, and the orchestral work here goes way harder than a 1999 tie-in show probably needed to.

The title track True Moon has this gorgeous vocal melody that sticks with you, and hearing the instrumental version right after lets you appreciate how much the arrangement carries on its own. Crisis and Dog Fight bring the tension with sharp brass hits and racing strings.
Then Oracion (Inori) just completely shifts gears into this prayer-like piece that's almost sacred. Chiisana Houseki is so tender it hurts a little. If you ever wanted Outlaw Star vibes with more emotional range, this is the one to track down.
