Angelique Sunflower ~from Twin Collection

2002 · Anime

Punchy, confident vocal pop with a slightly harder edge than the usual Angelique fare. Sunflower is the companion disc to Cherry Blossom in the Twin Collection series, and it runs warmer, bolder. "Gold Rush (21st century's)" has real swagger to it.

"Lovesick" opens with an intensity that grabs you immediately. "Stairway to the Sun ~Message of Silence~" balances that energy with something more searching. Eight tracks from the anime era of the franchise, early 2000s production.

"Commitment" and "Resolution ~We shall never part~" close things out with conviction. The whole disc feels like the confident counterpart to Cherry Blossom's softness. If you want the Angelique character songs that actually hit with some force, start with this half of the Twin Collection.
