Another Mind is a 1998 PlayStation psychological adventure that used live-action FMV and dealt with themes of psychotherapy and mental illness, and the soundtrack by Tsuyoshi Kaneko reflects that ambition with a collection that feels more like a film score than a game OST.

The title track sets the tone immediately, layered and introspective, while "A Drop of Anxiety" introduces the unease that permeates the whole experience. "Guiding Wind" appears in three variations, the base version, a gentler arrangement, and a "High School Days" variant, each one reframing the same melody through different emotional lenses.
The "Band Music" suite is a fascinating inclusion. "BIG POWER," "CLIMAX," and "DESPAIR" play like a concert arc within the story, moving from triumphant energy to devastating collapse. "Dream Cat" and its illusion variant drift into surreal territory that mirrors the game's therapy sequences, while "Impulsive Mind" gets three versions including an organ arrangement that transforms something frantic into something almost sacred.
The back half gets darker and more urgent. "A Senseless Act of Violence" is blunt and confrontational, "Endless Pursuit" carries the momentum of a story spiraling toward its conclusion, and "Self Amplification" builds with the kind of intensity that suggests a mind tearing itself apart.
Then "Finale" lands, and "Reconciliation" earlier in the tracklist suddenly reads as foreshadowing. A deeply underappreciated PS1 soundtrack that treated its subject matter with real compositional seriousness.
