The 5th EP under the YellowShark Music Sound Team banner is a surprisingly eclectic grab bag. "Altale -For Christmas-" doubles down on the holiday theme, reworking the well-known rhythm game track into something festive and warm. "Puzzle" and "Desive (AvsC Remix)" hold down the middle with the kind of intricate sound design you expect from this circle.
But the real curveball is "Birthright Syndrome (Unplugged)," which strips everything back to acoustic textures. It is a genuinely vulnerable moment buried in an EP full of maximalism, and it works because of the contrast.
The closer, "Time (Alan Olav Walker 1980s Remix)," leans into retro synthwave territory with a wink at Alan Walker's signature sound filtered through an 80s lens. It is playful and self-aware. The whole EP feels like a holiday season sketchbook, half serious compositions and half experiments that Sakamoto decided were too fun not to release.
