The "Piposaru Theme" anchors the whole thing with the series' signature playful energy, and its Tahiti and Karaoke versions are delightfully goofy. The character themes are a real highlight of this collection. Kakeru, Natsumi, Charu, and Haruka each get personalized musical portraits, while the Pipotron's Theme brings the villainous edge you would expect from the series' antagonists.
The Afrosaru themes -- available in both "aha" and "oh yeah" versions -- are peak Ape Escape absurdity, capturing the funky, irreverent spirit that has always set this franchise apart from other PlayStation mascot games.
The dramatic arc of the soundtrack comes through in its latter half, with "Crisis," "Last Boss Theme," and "Final Battle" building genuine tension before the cathartic "Escape" and breezy "Relax Time" bring things back down.
"Banana Relation" is a wonderfully weird inclusion, and the Epilogue wraps everything up with appropriate warmth. It is a surprisingly complete and varied score for what could have been a throwaway party game spinoff.
