Edo-period drama meets visual novel romance in a soundtrack that swings a samurai blade with one hand and writes love letters with the other. Appare! Tenka Gomen is set in Ooedo (old Tokyo) and the music commits fully to the setting.
"Kirameki Issen" (Brilliant Flash) opens with a sharp, theatrical flourish, "Sakura Fubuki" (Cherry Blossom Storm) is pure Japanese orchestral beauty, and "Tate" (Sword Fight) delivers exactly the intense chambara action scene energy you want from a period piece.
"Tokuha no Eifuu" carries the dignity of the Tokugawa shogunate, while "Atatakai na Engawa" (Warm Veranda) and "Ninjou Banashi" (Tales of Compassion) bring the human warmth that grounds the political drama. The darker tracks are no joke either.
"Yaneura no Nezumi" (Rat in the Attic) creeps with suspicion, "Ura Kagyou" (Shadow Business) pulls you into the criminal underworld, and "Urami Harashimasu" (I Will Have My Revenge) is pure cold fury. Then there's the romance side.
"Koibumi" (Love Letter), "Obihimo wo, Hodoku" (Untying the Sash), and "Tsuki Michite" (Full Moon) trace an entire intimate arc that the instrumental versions at the end let you revisit without vocals. The title track "Appare!
Ouka" ties it all together with genuine celebration. A period drama soundtrack with real range and zero filler.
