Tikipod's retro shooter about cats defending deep-sea milk mines already had its audio identity locked down from day one. "Buttermilk Bay" and "Creamy Cove" carry that chunky, Commodore 64-era bass weight that gives the whole score its signature punch.

"Kitty Rock" ramps up the aggression, and "Milk Mine Defender" hits with an urgency that matches the game's core protect-the-miners loop. The pulsing rhythms throughout feel tailor-made for dodging bullet patterns and rescuing drowning cat workers.

Comparing this to the 2017 re-release is interesting for tracking how the mixes evolved. "Curdling Gulf" versus "The Curdling Gulf" and other subtle differences mark the journey from indie debut to polished remaster. Either way, nine tracks is the perfect length for a game this focused.
