It's a side of the character you don't fully get from the game alone, peeling back layers of her sharp-tongued exterior. Gust and Banpresto clearly understood that the Ar tonelico fanbase craved deeper lore, and this drama CD delivers on that front.
The audio storytelling format works beautifully for a universe so rooted in the power of song and language, letting Jakuri's complex relationship with Croix and the other Reyvateils breathe in ways the PS2 hardware sometimes couldn't accommodate.
The musical interludes weave in motifs familiar to anyone who spent time in Metafalss. For collectors and lore enthusiasts, this is an essential companion piece to the main game's soundtrack. It bridges narrative gaps and gives Jakuri's arc the emotional real estate it deserves, all wrapped in that distinctly Ar tonelico blend of fantasy worldbuilding and deeply personal character drama.
If you fell for the series' unique constructed-language songs, this CD offers more of that singular magic.
