Here it is -- the properly titled 2010 release of Arc Rise Fantasia's magnificent soundtrack, and what a tracklist it is. Composed by Yasunori Mitsuda, Yoko Shimomura, and Shunsuke Tsuchiya, this is one of the great hidden gems of JRPG music.

"Luminous Rain" opens with Mitsuda's unmistakable melodic sensibility, setting the stage for a score that punches well above the Wii's typical musical weight class. "Furiously" and "Fighting Spirit Baring the Fangs" are electrifying battle themes, while "Imaginal Song" showcases the ethereal vocal work that Mitsuda perfected in Xenogears and Xenosaga.
The world-building through music is exceptional. "The Imperial City of Diamant" carries the grandeur and political weight of the empire, "The Northernmost of the Empire, Topazion" paints a colder, more remote atmosphere, and "Copin's Village" offers that cozy small-town warmth every JRPG needs.
"Vast Lands" delivers a breathtaking overworld theme, while "A Signpost in the Shades of Trees" is the kind of peaceful exploration track you just want to leave running. The emotional range spans from the warmth of "Friends, Smiles and Joy" to the tension of "Signs of Dark Clouds" and "Imminent Menace."
What sets this soundtrack apart is how three distinct compositional voices blend into a cohesive whole. Mitsuda's Celtic and world-music influences, Shimomura's dramatic orchestral flair, and Tsuchiya's energetic contributions create a score that never feels disjointed despite its multiple authors.
"War Results Within the Heart" and "Doubts" dig into the emotional complexity of the narrative, while "Unexpected Fight" keeps the tactical combat feeling fresh. This is genuinely one of the best JRPG soundtracks of its generation, and it deserved a far bigger audience than the Wii exclusive and its infamous dub allowed.
