This is one wild ride. ARCHANGEL:NEMESIS is a 2021 episodic narrative game that dives headfirst into conspiracy culture, corporate dystopia, and religious imagery, and the soundtrack mirrors every swerve. Episode 1's Thursday unfolds from the reverent "Theme - Archangel -Gabriel" and the gentle intimacy of "Mother's Chamber" into the chaotic absurdity of "5g Protest" and "Injecting 5g For My Adn License."

The tonal whiplash is clearly intentional, and it works. Character themes like "Meet Twigs" and "Theme - Grandma" ground the human side of things, while "Creepy 1" and "Creepy 2" do exactly what their names promise. "Taco Truck" sits in the middle of all this paranoia like a slice of mundane life refusing to be dramatic.
The Thews And Limbs tracks bring an industrial, almost body-horror texture that ties into the game's themes about corporeal transformation. Episode 2 picks up on Friday and keeps the momentum going. The whole thing feels less like a traditional game soundtrack and more like a sound collage for a graphic novel that's trying to tell you something urgent about the world.
If you want safe background music, look elsewhere. If you want something genuinely strange that commits to its vision, this is it.
