A deep-cut Windows visual novel soundtrack from 2009 that does the genre thing of juggling slice-of-life warmth with creeping darkness, and does it well. "Grand blue" anchors the whole album as both a vocal opener and a recurring motif, showing up in short versions, off-vocal versions, and a gorgeous piano arrangement called "grand blue ~futari de aruku komichi~" that feels like a quiet walk home.

"Piece of azure" mirrors it as a companion vocal track with the same sky-blue melancholy. The daily life tracks have real personality. "Hidamari Sansaku" is sunlit strolling music, "Yakitate no Kaori ni Sasowarete" literally translates to being lured by the smell of fresh baking, and "Setsuko no Heya" gives you a character's private space in sound.
Then "m-e-c-h-a-n-i-c-!" breaks the pattern with something playfully mechanical, and "candy taste" is pure sugar. But the shadows are there too. "Yami e no Shinshoku" drips with encroaching dread, "Nokosoreta Futatsu no Kage" carries the weight of two shadows left behind, and "critical break" snaps into urgency.
The way the tracklist moves from "peaceful sunlight" to "silent areas" to "open a door" tells its own story. Thirty-three tracks that feel like a complete emotional arc for a game most people outside Japan never heard of.
