A dark Alice in Wonderland reimagining that takes the looking-glass characters underground and doesn't let them back up easily. This 2013 Windows visual novel soundtrack runs over forty tracks deep, and the Wonderland references are everywhere: "White rabbit," "Mad Hatter," "Cheshire Cat," "Caterpillar," "King," "Queen" -- each character from Carroll's world gets their own musical identity, filtered through something much more sinister than a tea party.

"Mad Hatter" crackles with unhinged energy, "Cheshire Cat" has that sly, unsettling quality, and "Queen" carries authority with teeth. The emotional spectrum is brutal. "Hollow Heart," "Sorrow," "Darkness," "Pain," "Despair" -- the soundtrack doesn't flinch from the weight of its underground setting.
But then "Elegant Moment" offers unexpected grace, "My precious" finds something worth protecting, and "Amor verus" (true love) reaches for genuine tenderness. "The Beloved Days are Lost" is the kind of track title that hurts before you even press play.
The Latin and literary references -- "Tragoedia," "ROTA," "Orsa" -- give the whole thing an academic edge. The structural bookends are strong. "Ariard -Full ver.-" opens as both title track and thesis statement, "Abyss of the Dystopia" plunges into the deepest dark, and scattered throughout are moments of light like "Sunny Spot" and "The Blue Sky" that feel earned precisely because they're surrounded by shadow.
"Warp Calculation Formula" is the wildcard title that suggests this underground has science fiction underpinnings you wouldn't expect from an Alice adaptation.
