The seasonal structure gives the music a gentle arc: "Spring" opens bright and hopeful, "Summer" warms into something lazier, "Autumn" carries a hint of melancholy, and "Winter" gets contemplative before the cycle restarts.
The daily life tracks are cozy in that specific late-90s Enix way. "Farmwork" loops with the kind of patient energy you need for tending crops, "Veranda 1 Spring" is pure morning coffee vibes, and "Tengaron Village" has that small-town charm PS1 RPGs did so well.
Then things get weird with "Babu Is Coming!" and "Trap Institution," which shift the whole mood into frantic slapstick as you try to protect your prize vegetables from hungry aliens. The contest themes scale up from Village to Town to City to the Milky Way itself, and the escalation is genuinely funny.
"Pedro's Theme" stands out as a character piece, "Futon Person" is as bizarre as it sounds, and "Good Night Babu" closes things out with a tenderness toward the very creatures you spent the whole game trapping. Pure PS1 magic that nobody talks about.
