Chiptune-flavored melodies with a soft, slightly melancholy edge. Backspace Bouken is a PC/Linux RPG from 2019, and its soundtrack has that indie RPG warmth where every track feels handmade. "Fantasy (Title Theme)" opens with bright optimism, "Backspace Brawl (Battle Theme)" delivers surprisingly punchy combat energy, and "0 Below" drops into icy ambient territory when the snow arc hits.

There's a nice arc from hopeful adventure tunes to darker stuff like "Fury" and "Damage Ctrl" before things settle into the winter-themed back half. Even the unused tracks feel like they belong somewhere. Two battle themes and both of them go off.
