Thick, punchy Genesis grooves with a confidence that never quits. BARE NUCKLE II is the Japanese Streets of Rage 2 soundtrack, and it's the one everybody quotes when they talk about the best 16-bit OST ever made. "Go Straight" hits immediately with that bassline and those snappy drums.

"Dreamer" slows everything down into this hazy, gorgeous FM ballad. "Expander" goes hard with distorted kicks and stabbing synths. Koshiro and Kawashima built an entire nightclub inside a Mega Drive cartridge. The PC-88 arrangements add another layer to it.
Every stage feels like walking into a different room at the same party. "Slow Moon" at 3AM is something else entirely. If you only ever listen to one Genesis soundtrack, let it be this one.
