Loud, punchy J-rock that slams into you with zero warning. BRAND-NEW UPPER! is the kind of album where every track feels like it was recorded in a room that was slightly too small for the energy inside it. "Dynamic! Atomic!
S.C.B.G." opens with this ridiculous burst of swagger that sets the bar impossibly high. "SWEET EMOTION" pulls back just enough to breathe before the guitars pile on again. And "Crazy 4 U" closes things out with the kind of reckless intensity that makes you want to restart the whole album.
There is a rawness here that feels intentional, like polishing it would have ruined the point. Mid-2000s attitude baked into every riff. Good for anyone who needs their playlist to yell at them a little.
