Lo-fi charm humming through five compact tracks. Bugbo is a 2022 indie game and the soundtrack wastes zero time establishing its scrappy personality. "Bugbo, We're Gonna Find You" has this determined forward motion like a search party anthem for a little bug.
"The Underground Circus" shifts into something darker and weirder, stumbling into a place you weren't supposed to find. "Thomas Flyswatter" sounds menacing in the funniest possible way. Five tracks total. But each one carries its own distinct mood, from the warmth of the title track to the tension of "A Familiar Foe" opening the album.
Pure indie territory. The kind of small game soundtrack that sticks with you longer than it should. For anyone who believes the best things come in very small, very buggy packages.
