FUNKY MONSTERS lives up to its name with a boss theme that is genuinely funky. The stage tracks each have their own personality. LIKE A HURRICANE rolls with urgent intensity for stages 2 and 5, while FALLOUT OF CHRISTMAS goes surprisingly melodic for a game about punching mutants.
JUSTICE HAS WON gives you a proper victory lap ending. This 2023 release also includes unused tracks and voice collections, which is a nice bonus for anyone digging into Data East's catalog. If you grew up on arcade brawlers and miss that raw FM chip energy, this soundtrack still hits.
