The battle map tracks split between normal and boss variants for both your side and the enemy, which gives the combat real dynamic range. The event themes are all character-coded. You get the best friend, the heroine, the colonel, and even an "electronic fairy" with her own motif.
"Song of Sadness" and the ending theme round out the emotional arc. There are a couple unreleased tracks tucked in at the end too. Plus sound effects for cars and footsteps, which is a fun bonus. If you dig late 90s anime tactics with heart, this one has the receipts.
