"The Book of Lost Children" establishes the premise—girls pulled from the real world into the demon-haunted realm of Gilverado—while "The Book of the Other World's Angel" digs into the transformation that makes these ordinary girls into bullet-spraying gothic warriors.
"The Book of Windia's Awakening" is the dramatic turning point, giving voice to a character who in the game itself is mostly defined by her familiar and her shot pattern. "The Book of Windia's Current Studies" grounds things with a more everyday tone, a slice-of-life coda for a character whose life involves fighting demons in a Halloween dimension.
It's the kind of supplementary material that only a dedicated Japanese arcade fanbase would produce—narrative worldbuilding for a shmup—and there's something genuinely endearing about that commitment to fleshing out a story most players blast through in twenty minutes.
