"五月の風に吹かれて" (Blown by the May Wind) is a breezy, wistful ballad that shows off the softer side of the production, while "涙をためらわないで" (Don't Hesitate to Cry) goes full emotional power ballad. "とびきりピュア・ラブ" (Extra Special Pure Love) is exactly as earnest and sweet as its title suggests, and that sincerity is part of the charm.
The collection closes with "ひとりぼっちのバースデー" (Lonely Birthday), a melancholic solo piece that hits harder than you'd expect from a management sim soundtrack. The whole set captures that specific late-90s PlayStation era where idol games were genuinely investing in their music, treating these fictional performers like real artists with real discographies.
