Interactive Art's dungeon crawler for DS was a strange, ambitious little RPG, and its soundtrack pushes well beyond what you'd expect from early DS hardware. The two-scenario structure means tracks like "Shou and Alf's Theme" and "To the Labyrinth" appear in both halves of the album, recontextualized across the game's parallel stories.

"The Palace of Fata Morgana" carries this eerie grandeur that makes the dungeon feel vast despite the small screen, while "Memory-Eater Theta" brings genuine menace for one of the game's stranger boss encounters. "The Azure Cavern" and "The Redolent Corridor" give each labyrinth floor its own atmosphere, the kind of dedicated zone theming that keeps a dungeon crawler from feeling repetitive.
"Deep Labyrinth ~Main Theme~" ties it all together with a melody that's more melancholic than heroic, fitting for a game about a boy searching for his lost family inside a supernatural maze. "Girl in the Crystal" and "Wandering Soul" hit with quiet emotional weight.
This is a forgotten DS gem's forgotten soundtrack, and both deserve better.
