"D E E P W O K E S T" opens with the kind of dramatic, layered composition that sets the tone for a world where permadeath is always one bad fight away. The spaced-out title formatting tells you this album doesn't take itself entirely seriously, even when the music does.
"All Hands On Deck!" shifts into urgent, seafaring energy that captures the nautical survival elements at the game's core. "Blood in the Shallows" is the combat standout, a track that makes shallow water feel just as dangerous as the deep.
"Drownedabout" leans into the game's drowning mechanics with an appropriately suffocating atmosphere -- murky, disorienting, and unsettling. "Visions" provides a rare moment of atmospheric calm, the kind of track that plays when the game lets you breathe between its relentless difficulty spikes.
"No Time For Paws" has a title that suggests a lighter moment, but the Deepwoken community knows nothing in this game stays light for long. Six tracks is lean, but for a game built on tension and dread, every one of them does real work.
