Demeo is Resolution Games' VR tabletop dungeon crawler, and the soundtrack commits fully to that basement-D&D fantasy atmosphere with the production values of something much grander. "A Cave Troll's Haven" opens with exactly the lumbering menace you want from a track about where trolls live, and the main theme establishes a heroic through-line that ties the whole dungeon-delving experience together.
The worldbuilding in the track names is half the charm. "Remembering Fhalgor," "Sorrows of Helmaar," "The Eulogy of Ruhn Berim" -- these aren't generic fantasy place names, they're elegies and memories. Someone in this world is grieving, and the music carries that weight.
"Sailing The Horn Gulf" opens things up with an adventurous sweep, while "Spiritplane Flight" drifts into something more ethereal and otherworldly. "The Hallowed Opus, vibration No. 55" is the most intriguing title on the album -- it implies a numbering system, a catalog of sacred music within the game's fiction, and the track delivers something appropriately reverent.
"Witt's plea" closes the album on a personal, desperate note. For a game that's essentially about rolling dice and moving miniatures on a virtual board, this soundtrack takes its lore seriously enough to make you care about people who don't exist.
