"Houquet's Blues" gives the series' female lead her own musical identity. "Inbit" scores the alien threat with appropriately otherworldly tension. "Dream Eaters" and "Flying Ceremony" capture the show's blend of military action and existential wonder.
"In Search of Lost Dreams" and "Blue Rain" bookend the collection with the kind of wistful 80s anime balladry that hits differently once you know the show's themes of displacement and homecoming.
