Multiple versions of the main "FIGHTING CLIMAX" theme anchor the album, from the bombastic opening arrangement to the stripped-down vocal-less bonus track. The battle themes hit hard and fast. "Cyphernetic Tornado" brings a frantic electronic edge befitting a fighting game on the competitive arcade circuit, while "7th Crisis" and "Frontline" pile on aggressive guitar riffs over driving percussion.
Tracks like "Higher Higher" and "Blazing Heart" capture that anime crossover spirit with soaring melodies that wouldn't sound out of place in any of the source series. The quieter side of the soundtrack doesn't get neglected either.
"Seaside B-field" offers a breather between bouts, and "Memories Engraved" delivers a surprisingly emotional moment for what's essentially a fan-service fighter. The comedic cue "ちょ, ちょっと待ってくれ" (roughly "Wait, hold on a second!")
adds some levity, reminding you this is a game that never takes itself too seriously despite its polished combat mechanics.
