The main theme (エメラルドドラゴンのテーマ) opens with the kind of sweeping heroism that defined the golden age of 16-bit RPGs. The battle music escalation tells a story on its own: "やむなき戦い" (Unavoidable Battle) gives way to "明日への戦い" (Battle for Tomorrow), then "激闘" (Fierce Battle), climbing to "最後の戦い" (Final Battle) and the desperate "死闘の果て" (End of the Death Match).
That progression is masterful. Meanwhile, the town themes mix Japanese and English titles -- "Lovely Towns" and "Welcome Customer!" sit alongside "街路の歌声" (Song of the Streets) -- giving the tracklist a charmingly bilingual character.
The emotional range runs deep. "悲しみの淵で" (At the Edge of Sorrow) and "涙色の龍" (Dragon of Tears) deliver genuine heartbreak, while "ありふれた幸せ" (Ordinary Happiness) finds beauty in quiet moments. The victory fanfares "YOU Got it!"
and "WE Got it!" are wonderfully enthusiastic. And "今、全てが始まる" (Now, Everything Begins) closes the album with forward-looking hope -- a perfect final statement for a game about bonds between humans and dragons.
