"DESTINY" on Stage 1 slams in with driving energy, and from there each stage variation plays on the word destiny like it owes royalties. "Lower Lower DESTINY," "Revolving DESTINY," "Highway Highway DESTINY" -- the naming convention alone is a journey.
The boss themes are where things get serious. "SAVE THE EARTH WITH DESTINY" goes full dramatic for a game starring a salmon, and "Against the DESTINY" for the last boss pushes into genuinely intense territory. "DESTINYSALMON into BEAST" for Stage 5 hits that final-stretch energy where the game stops joking and starts trying to kill you.
The interlude "Who's NEXT" is a welcome breather between the chaos. The off-vocal versions of the opening and ending let you appreciate the compositions underneath the absurdity, and there is a hidden track tucked at the end for the dedicated fans.
"SAKEDES" on the bonus stage is a perfect pun (sake + destiny, because of course). This is doujin game music at its most joyfully committed.
