Deus Ex 2027 Soundtrack

2011 · Windows

Deus Ex 2027 is an ambitious fan-made mod for the original Deus Ex, and its soundtrack pays loving tribute to Alexander Brandon's original score while carving out its own identity. The Main theme immediately evokes that classic Deus Ex atmosphere — brooding electronic textures layered over conspiratorial tension.

Majestic 12 and Illuminati tackle the franchise's iconic shadow organizations with appropriately ominous tones, keeping the paranoid spirit of the series alive. The location-based tracks showcase the mod's globe-trotting narrative.

Paris and Old quarter bring European atmosphere with a cyberpunk edge, while Pushkin square and Vladimir shift the setting to Russia with cold, expansive soundscapes. Infiltration delivers the stealth gameplay tension that Deus Ex is known for, and Human Horizon explores the transhumanist themes central to the franchise.

North labs and Titan provide the industrial, facility-exploration ambience for the mod's more claustrophobic sections. Following the original game's tradition, the mod offers three distinct endings, each with its own musical accompaniment.

Ending 1, Ending 2, and Ending 3 provide different emotional resolutions reflecting the player's final choice, while Epilogue wraps up the narrative threads. Revolutionist closes out the album with a defiant energy that suits the Deus Ex ethos of questioning authority.

For a fan project, the musical quality here punches well above its weight class.
