Diablo II Soundtrack

2000 · Windows

Matt Uelmen's Diablo II score is one of the most influential ARPG soundtracks ever composed. "Wilderness" opens Act I with that iconic acoustic guitar line that every Diablo player can hum from memory. "Rogue" and "Sisters" flesh out the encampment. "Desert" and "Tombs" capture Act II's oppressive heat. "Jungle" and "Zakarum" bring Act III's tropical horror.

Each environment is unmistakable from its first notes. "Leoric" and "Crypt" deliver the dungeon-crawling tension. "Roger and Me" closes as a personal coda from Uelmen himself. This soundtrack proved that an action game could have the musical depth of a film score while still making you want to grind for loot at 3 AM.
