"Main Titles" sweeps in with that classic orchestral grandeur, "Dark Beauty Castle" drips with gothic atmosphere, and "Mickey Arrives in Wasteland" captures the wonder and unease of stepping into a world built from discarded cartoon characters.
The references to classic Disney shorts are woven throughout. "Steamboat Willie," "Clock Cleaners," and "Thru The Mirror" all pull from their source material while recontextualizing them for Wasteland's twisted version of Disney nostalgia.
"Mean Street" has this bittersweet warmth that makes the hub world feel genuinely lived-in, while "The Clocktower's Rage" and "Mad Machine" bring real dramatic weight to the action sequences. "Worldwide Boat Ride" is the It's a Small World level and it's as unsettling as you'd hope.
The quieter character moments are where it really shines. "Remember Clarabelle Cow," "Goofy's Troubles," and "The Partners Statue" are all tinged with melancholy for these forgotten icons. "Awaken The Guardians" builds to something truly epic.
This is a soundtrack about what happens when Disney's past gets left behind, and every note carries that weight.
