"Summer (Where Do We Begin?)" captures that bittersweet feeling of endless possibility that the whole show was built on, and "Brand New Best Friend" is a villain duet so charming it almost makes you root for Doofenshmirtz -- which, let's be honest, you already did.
The energy shifts are what make this sampler work as a listen. "Robot Riot" goes full punk-rock rebellion, "Takin' Care of Things" has a spy-movie swagger, and "Mysterious Force" leans into theatrical melodrama with a wink.
"I Walk Away" lands as the emotional gut-punch of the set, genuinely moving in a way that sneaks up on you from a show about two kids building rollercoasters in their backyard. "Brand New Reality" ties the alternate-dimension plot together musically with a propulsive pop energy.
For a song sampler rather than a full soundtrack, this is remarkably complete -- it hits comedy, action, heart, and weirdness without a single throwaway. Phineas and Ferb always punched above its weight musically, writing actual songs instead of just background filler, and this collection is proof that the movie did the same.
