Eleven tracks that drift rather than march. "Hammerhead Shark Song" is this slow, prowling groove that perfectly captures something large moving through dark water. "Tubeworm Dub" and "Guiding Light Dub" commit fully to the dub label with heavy reverb, echoed percussion, and bass that vibrates in your chest.

"Calm Sea" opens with exactly the tranquility the title promises, and "Moonchild" adds a dreamy, almost lullaby quality. "Rad Bat" and "Momongah" (the Japanese flying squirrel) bring in a playful, creature-focused energy that reminds you this is still the guy who scored some of Nintendo's most iconic early games.

"Night Flight" closes everything out with a nocturnal, soaring piece. "A Song For Stars" is the emotional center, quiet and vast. Tanaka at his most contemplative and free.
