Dragon Fin Soup is a tactical roguelike wrapped in a dark fairy tale, and the soundtrack nails that storybook-gone-wrong atmosphere across eighteen tracks. "The Journey Ahead" sets out with a sense of cautious wonder, "Merlenheim" establishes the village hub with cozy warmth, and then "Irkwood" starts pulling you into the kind of forest where things go sideways.

The progression from comfort to danger feels deliberate and earned. The biome variety carries the middle section beautifully. "Bleemshroom Forest" has a psychedelic, otherworldly shimmer to it, "Frostland Woods" brings a biting chill, and "Pinkywood Forest" is deceptively sweet before the "Haunted Mansion" drags you into full gothic territory.
"Nightmare" is exactly what it promises, a thick, oppressive piece that sits heavy in the mix. "Ancient Ruins" trades dread for something more contemplative and ancient. The bookends are what really tie it together. Opening on "The Journey Ahead" and closing on "The Journey Past" gives the whole album a cyclical, fairy-tale structure that fits perfectly.
"Music Box" tucked near the end is a small, delicate thing that hits harder than it should after all the darkness you've walked through. A compact, well-paced soundtrack for a game that deserved more attention than it got.
