"Dragon's Crown" as a title theme is pure fantasy grandeur, brass and strings swelling with the kind of confidence that says this game knows exactly what it is. "Bilbaron Subterranean Fortress" has that relentless forward momentum perfect for smashing through waves of skeletons, while "Morgan's Magic Item Shop" is cozy enough to make you linger at the merchant screen longer than you need to.

The Route B variants are where the soundtrack reveals its depth. "Forgotten Sanctuary - Route B," "Castle of the Dead - Catacombs - Route B," and "Lost Woods - Route B" take familiar locations and twist their musical identity, reflecting the harder difficulty and altered encounters of the second playthrough.

"Ghost Ship Cove" already drips with nautical dread in its original form, but the Route B version pushes it further into dark waters. "Annihilation" lives up to its name with an intensity that matches the screen-filling chaos of late-game encounters.

The town and hub themes give the soundtrack its soul. "Adventurers Guild" has the warmth of a place you keep coming back to, "Lucain's Tower" carries arcane mystery, and "A Moment of Rest" is exactly the exhale you need between dungeon runs.

"Memories to be Told" frames the whole adventure as a storybook narrator's tale, which is precisely Dragon's Crown's aesthetic. Sakimoto doing what Sakimoto does best: making fantasy games sound like they deserve to be projected on an IMAX screen.
