"Majin Vegeta" is the crown jewel here, a piece of music that perfectly channels the Prince of Saiyans at his most dangerously conflicted. "Buu's Theme" bounces between playful and threatening in a way that mirrors the character's chaotic nature, while "Kid Buu" strips things down to pure menace.

"Old Kai's Dance" is genuinely funny scoring, and "Van Zant's Ride" has no business going as hard as it does for a minor villain. Whether you consider the Faulconer score a controversial replacement or the definitive DBZ experience depends entirely on which version you grew up with.

Either way, "Vegeta vs. Goku" and "Mystery Of The Z Sword" are tracks that still trigger immediate emotional responses in anyone who watched Toonami after school.
