Falcom's Dragon Slayer IV — known in the West as Legacy of the Wizard — with its distinctive MSX sound hardware giving these compositions a unique character. Each family member gets their own stage theme: "ぜムン・ウォーゼン" for the Warrior, "リルル・ウォーゼン" for the Elf, "メイア・ウォーゼン" for the Wizard.

The family dungeon-crawling concept was revolutionary in 1987. "オール・トゥゲザー・ナウ" (All Together Now) plays when the whole family explores together — a Beatles reference in a Falcom game. Each mini-boss gets a named track: "タラチュネス," "エレボーン," "アーク・ウィンガー," "ロック・ガイア."
"ディルギオス" scores the final dragon encounter. "ポチ" (Pochi) is the family pet monster's theme — because in Dragon Slayer IV, even the dog gets to explore the dungeon. "ティータイム" (Tea Time) and "宝箱" (Treasure Chest) add charming details.
The MSX versions have a warmer, slightly different character compared to the Famicom release most Western players know. Classic Falcom Sound Team compositional brilliance.
