The exploration tracks are named after real planetary features, and "Sputnik Planitia" carries this lonely, drifting beauty. "Tharsis Rise" builds slowly, like watching a sunrise on Mars from ground level. The whole album is basically one long atmospheric drift through different terrain.
It is all textures and space and patience. Not trying to excite you, just trying to make you feel somewhere far away. If you like staring at stars and need a reason to keep walking, hit play.
