"A New Home" in safe mode is almost peaceful. The action version is pure survival panic. "Cold Blood" and "Drive Them Back" escalate the tension level by level. The naming mirrors the campaign structure, so you can basically hear the difficulty curve in track order.
"Hibernation" slows everything to a crawl, frozen and still. The Nian Beast event tracks are a wild departure. Suddenly you're in lunar new year territory with "New Years Feast" bringing completely different instrumentation.
For anyone who never expected an ant game to have a soundtrack this thoughtfully layered.
