FAR EAST OF EAST -XII- soundtrack

FAR EAST OF EAST -XII-

2016 · Arcade, PC-98, Windows

Rapid-fire arrange tracks slamming Touhou melodies into new genres at full speed. FAR EAST OF EAST -XII- is the twelfth volume in this long-running doujin arrange series pulling from Touhou Project and other arcade/PC-98 era sources.

"魔法少女達のDubStep" does exactly what the title promises and drops magical girl themes into filthy dubstep breakdowns. "Ring a bell beautifully" goes cleaner with melodic progression that still hits hard. "星屑カフェタイム" (Stardust Cafe Time) brings this chill contrast that catches you off guard between the heavier cuts.

The whole disc bounces between intensity and softness. The production is sharp and modern despite drawing from old-school source material. Twelve volumes deep and still finding angles. Grab this if you need proof that Touhou arranges still go unreasonably hard.
