"The Plain and the Sky" opens with this breezy, open-field theme that makes you want to walk instead of fast travel. "Enter Battle!" snaps you into a driving percussion loop that sounds almost too intense for a handheld.

Then "Wanderer Caravan" rolls in with a folk-flavored groove that just feels like the road. The OST balances cozy town themes against big dramatic escalations. Very smart pacing for a portable RPG. If you want a DS soundtrack that sounds three console generations ahead of itself, put this on.
