"Godzilla's Theme" opens with this stomping bass line that the hardware pushes to its limit, and "The Ancient Roar" layers in these eerie high-pitched tones that actually capture kaiju dread pretty well. "Total Destruction" is pure chaos energy with rapid percussion and buzzing synth leads bouncing off each other.
"Sea of Darkness" goes in a completely different direction with this slow, deep, almost underwater feel. "Sad Recollection" and "To the Sea..." close things out with genuine melancholy that you would not expect from a monster fighting game.
Worth it if you want proof that tiny sound chips could carry real emotional weight.
