Gran Turismo 7 continued the series tradition of surprising musical curation with this jazz selection volume, which reimagines well-known traditional melodies and folk songs through a smooth jazz lens. Familiar tunes like "Scarborough Fair," "Greensleeves," and "Beautiful Dreamer" receive tasteful jazz arrangements that transform them into something fresh and unexpected.

Hearing these pieces while browsing GT7's meticulously designed cafe menus is a uniquely relaxing experience. The tracklist leans heavily into holiday classics and hymns, with jazz renditions of "Angels We Have Heard on High," "Hark the Herald Angels Sing," and "Joy to the World" giving the collection a warm, seasonal feel.
"What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "The Water Is Wide" receive gentle, contemplative treatments that emphasize their timeless melodies. Even "Tom Dooley," the old Appalachian murder ballad, sounds refined and inviting in this context.
It is the kind of musical alchemy that only Gran Turismo would attempt in a racing game. The inclusion of "Love Me Tender" and "My Grandfather's Clock" rounds out a collection that feels less like a game soundtrack and more like something you would hear at an upscale cocktail lounge.
This is very much in line with Kazunori Yamauchi's broader artistic vision for GT7, where the cafe serves as a cultural hub and every detail -- from car liveries to background music -- is treated with curatorial care. It is a niche release, but for fans who appreciate GT's unique musical personality, it is a charming listen.
