The cafe system was GT7's most distinctive new feature, and hearing the progression of menu start and end cues across episodes reveals how carefully the audio was designed to mark the player's journey through automotive history.
The headliners are predictably excellent. "Nocturn (GT7 Opening Version)" sets a contemplative, cinematic tone that immediately signals GT7's more story-driven approach, while "Moon Over The Castle (GT7 Full Version)" delivers the latest evolution of the franchise's immortal anthem with soaring orchestration.
"HUNGARIAN DANCE N-5 (Music Rally version)" is a brilliant callback to GT4's classical collection, reimagined for GT7's innovative Music Rally mode where you race against the length of a musical piece. The remixed returning tracks show the series' musical continuity.
"SURV1V3 GT7 M!X" takes the GT5 Prologue favorite and gives it fresh energy for the PS5 era, while "BREAKDOWN GT7 M!X" similarly updates a classic GT composition. The race start and results cues, while individually brief, are the kinds of sounds that become deeply embedded in a player's memory after hundreds of hours of racing.
This is soundtrack design that understands the power of repetition and ritual -- every chime, every fanfare becomes part of the Pavlovian thrill of Gran Turismo.
