Twelve tracks of concentrated Noriyuki Iwadare brilliance from the Dreamcast launch window. This Music Selections disc gives you the essential Grandia II experience in a tight package, bookended by two versions of "Canção do povo" (Song of the People), with the "Little Shelter MIX" opening things on a warm, intimate note before the original closes with full vocal presence.

"Fight!! Ver. 1" and "Fight!! Ver. 2" are both here, letting you compare the standard battle theme against its evolved form. "DangerousZone" lives up to its name with urgent, driving energy. The town themes are where the disc really shines for atmosphere: "Carbo," "Liligue," and "Mirumu" each paint distinct communities with Iwadare's characteristic melodic warmth.
"A Deus" appears twice too, with the "SUNKING MIX" offering a different arrangement of the same spiritual weight. "Saint Heim" carries the gravity of the game's religious center. As a sampler disc this does exactly what it should: makes you want to hear everything else.
A perfect entry point for anyone curious about one of Iwadare's finest scores.
