Ethereal, layered, and deeply atmospheric. hack on PS2 built an entire fake MMO world and then scored it like a fantasy cathedral. "epitaph of the twilight" opens with this haunting vocal arrangement that sets an almost sacred mood.

"Carmina Gadelica ~Invasion~" takes that familiar town theme and warps it into something threatening. The character themes are where it really shines though. "Balmung ~Wings Aloof~" carries this noble loneliness, while "Orca ~Sword of the Farthest Ends~" hits with raw determination.
Every track is named after characters and locations from the series, so it plays like a story on its own. If you grew up wishing you could log into The World, this soundtrack is the closest thing to jacking in.
