Bright, bubbly pop energy that commits so hard to its theme you can't help but respect it. HAMHAMUSIC! Vol.01 is the soundtrack to a late-2000s Japanese visual novel that is, let's say, extremely focused on swimsuits. "Kon-iro Tokimeki!!"
opens with catchy vocal pop that sets the tone for everything that follows. The BGM tracks cycle through upbeat school comedy vibes, with "The Swimsuit is Dangerously Sweet" leaning into playful synths and "Let's Go! To a Fully Swimsuited School!"
delivering exactly the peppy march you'd expect from that title. The music box arrangement closing the album is a surprisingly delicate touch. Fourteen tracks of pure commitment to the bit. If you're into quirky Japanese game soundtracks that refuse to take themselves seriously, this one delivers.
