fripSide on the opening track and you already know this is going to hit a certain way. HANAHIME*ABSOLUTE! is a 2016 visual novel with a soundtrack that bounces between bubbly school life and surprisingly intense battle themes.
"absolute wish" opens with that signature fripSide electronic pop energy, then "Boot New Day!" and "Youthful Live" keep the momentum going with bright, upbeat arrangements. The tonal range is wild though. "Emergency on Planet Mirai" and "INTRUDER ALERT!!"
shift into sci-fi territory, "Divine Ordeal" goes full dramatic boss encounter, and "Moonlit Cavalier" sounds like a completely different game. Like someone shuffled three soundtracks together and it somehow works. "not connect" is the quiet gut punch in the middle of all the noise.
Just sitting there between party tracks. The princess-themed battle songs like "Duel With Princess!!" and "Starlight Brakers" commit to the magical girl energy without flinching. "Passionate Flower" carries real weight. If you want a VN soundtrack that goes from school comedy to space opera to romantic confession without ever losing momentum, this is absurdly fun.
