Gentle, naturalistic tones drifting in like wind across open fields. Hayfields is a 2024 release with four tracks that paint a very specific pastoral picture. "Hartebeest" opens with earthy warmth. "Harpy Hare" follows with something lighter and playful, a little mischievous even.
And "Neath the grove is a heart" closes things out with a title that reads like the last line of a poem. Four songs. No listed platform. Just short, evocative pieces with animal-themed names that feel like soundtrack work for something quiet.
"And the Hound" bridges the moods, sitting between the wild and the tender. The whole thing is over before you want it to be. If you're looking for something soft and strange to fall asleep to, this tiny collection does the job.
