Crunchy pixel-era synths with a cozy fantasy warmth. HCotN is a browser-based adventure that sounds way more polished than it has any right to be. "Rest Awhile" on the title screen sets this gentle, inviting tone before you even start, and then "Fairy Haloes" in the Lost Woods section just wraps around you like fog.

The boss tracks go hard though. "Gilded Justice" during the Alberto fight has this swagger to it, like the game knows it's about to wreck you. And "Steely-Eyed Tyrant" for Angela Lux does not let up. The whole thing bounces between tender and tense so naturally.
That credits track "Union" tying it all together... If you want a fantasy OST that punches above its weight class from a browser game, this one delivers.
